The hotel had a charming decor with comfortable seating areas for us seniors to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. It was easy for us to navigate around the hotel as the hallways were wide and well-lit.
I would have loved to see more organized activities specifically designed for senior guests.

During my recent stay at Kiara Lodge, I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The chalet I stayed in was amazing, with luxurious appliances and spacious rooms. The highlight was definitely the outdoor heated splash pool, which provided a stunning view. The staff at the lodge were also very friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. Additionally, the location of the lodge, just outside the Golden Gate National Park, made it a perfect base for exploring the area.
Although I had a fantastic time at Kiara Lodge, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. the Wi-Fi reception was quite slow and unreliable, so it's best not to rely on it too much.

The parking spaces were too narrow, causing scratches on vehicles. The hotel room was beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the location was great for exploring the nearby area. The on-site restaurant offered good value for money, except for the tasteless calamari. we had a good time with many options for kids' entertainment.

The location of the lodge was stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and offering a peaceful and romantic atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the open areas and the many outdoor activities available, such as hiking and putt putt. the chalets were well-maintained and clean, providing a comfortable and cozy retreat for our romantic escape.
the cleanliness of the bedding and towels was subpar, with a noticeable smell that made them unusable. the restaurant service was slow and the opening time of 09:00 am was not ideal for those of us who had early morning plans.

our recent stay at a lodge in Clarens was not as great as we had hoped, but Kiara Lodge pleasantly surprised us with its beautiful location, well-equipped chalets, and delicious restaurant menu. Even though the beds were not the best and there was a slight odor in the room, we still enjoyed our time there, especially considering the price we paid.
